South Americans stun…. deny Super Eagles with last gasp goal
GOAL: Lionel Messi was on the mark for Argentina
NIGERIA HAVE been knocked out pf the 2018 World Cup. The Super Eagles needed just a draw against Argentina but were beaten by a last gasp goal to lose 2-1.
Argentina centre-back Marcos Rojo popped up in the unlikeliest of positions to volley home an 86th-minute winner to send his side into the last 16 of the 2018 World Cup.
The South American’s talisman, Lionel Messi, scored the game’s opening goal before the Super Eagles clawed their way back with a penalty scored by Chelsea’s Victor Moses. The African nation were then on course for a last 16 tie before Rojo’s dramatic winner.
