Tourism is a profitable matter once it has been lavishly invested in. There have been lively talks about the development of a powerful touristic branch in Nigeria.

Everyone realizes how much it can boost the economy.

Mr. Akinmunvi Ambode, Lagos State Governor, declared that the government will channel necessary means for developing a strong touristic side of Lagos. On Ben TV, Mr. Ambode said that his team had done enough for the last 2 years to see an increase in the touristic sphere in Nigeria. It was one of his promises he kept to.

In addition, the project under the name T.H.E.S.E. (which stands for Tourism, Hospitality, Entertainment, Sporting and Excellence) was a point of heated discussions either. According to Nigerian’s Naij Newspaper, T.H.E.S.E. should result in thriving touristic Nigeria where the youth do their bit in boosting the IGR of the State. Quoting the governor: “…if young people are given meaningful jobs the results will not keep us waiting.”

Another promise of the statesman was to construct five theatres of arts. It will attract the youth to the sphere of entertainment. Lagos should lure people lots of tourists. To achieve it, Nigerians need to cross promote their country. The Notting Hill Carnival is a golden opportunity for introducing Lagos not only for Nigerians but for all Africans. The carnival is held from August 26 to August 28.

The governor Mr. Ambode invited people to visit Nigeria and explore the beauty of Lagos.
