Nigeria continued their downward slide in the FIFA rankings. The Eagles dropped one place from last month’s rankings. According to the latest rankings, the Eagles are now the 57th best national team in the world and 9th in Africa.
The Eagles were ranked 56th in February.
African champion, Zambia occupies fourth place in Africa but 41st in the World.
Nigeria’s best ranking was in April 1994 when the Eagles were ranked 5th in the world while her lowest ranking was in November 1999 when the Eagles perched at 82nd in the world. Spain remains top in the world rankings.
