About the event:
25th December
While most of us are still tucked up in bed or tearing into our Christmas presents members of the Serpentine Swimming Club are competing their annual race across the icy waters of Hyde Park’s Serpentine lake.
The Peter Pan Cup has taken place every Christmas Day since 1864. It acquired its name because the author JM Barrie was a patron of the race.
The courageous competitors must be a member of the Serpentine Swimming Club however spectators are more than welcome – it is an ideal way to spend Christmas morning.
