In the newest world rankings released by FIFA Nigeria have been placed 53rd in the world picking up just one more ranking point and remaining unchanged from the last FIFA ranking.
Argentina remain number one in the World while Algeria remain number one in Africa. Wales have moved in front of England in the FIFA rankings for the firsts time in history was England dropped two positions to 10th while Wales remained 9th in the world with Chile jumping from 10th to 8th. Nigeria’s opponents on Saturday, Tanzania are still ranked 140th in the world, suffice to say; it would be a disaster if the Super Eagles lose to them while Belgium maintain 2nd position ahead of Germany, Colombia and Brazil in 3rd 4th and 5th respectively.
Seychelles were the worst performers, dropping 7 positions to 192nd in the world while Fiji made the biggest jump; a 17 position leap to 181st.
