Capitoline LLP, a Data Centre engineering consultancy from the United Kingdom, and local partner KITS Technologies, based in Lagos, have started to roll out the industry leading Data Centre Expert, DCE® certification qualification in Nigeria.
The DCE®programme is the world’s first Data Centre facilities engineering training and started in 2005. It has been presented in over twenty countries to more than 1000 companies.
With authorised design accreditation from uptime institute, the training is a recognised technical professional qualification in both the United States (US) and Europe by BICSI and Chartered Building Services Engineers.
In a statement at the commencement of Q1 2013 training session, by Capitoline founding partner, Barry Elliott, said “DCE® is based on international standards such as TIA 942 and ISO 27000 and offers a completely manufacturer independent view of the industry and its technical requirements.
Also, the Director, Business and Strategy, KITS Technologies, Taofeek Okoya said that KITS and Capitoline commenced the DCE® training course in Nigeria in 2012 with more sessions already planned for 2013.
He added that the Data Centre Market is growing and the need for professionals to manage the Data Centre investment proficiently cannot be over-emphasized. The DCE® training programme runs concurrently with Capitoline’s Data Centre Audit programme, whereby Data Centres can be accredited to an international standard.
