Toyin Oshinaike
An actor and theatre director trained on the job. He started professional acting on the Nigerian stage in 1991. He is an awardee of the National association of Nigerian theatre arts practitioners (NANTAP) for outstanding contribution to the development of theatre arts in Nigeria (1995).
Some of his several theatre credits include; Eleshin Oba in Wole Soyinka’s Death and The Kings Horseman, Satala in Phillip Begho’s Daniel , Dozie in Horse on my Back, Bosange in Femi Osofisan’s Andorra Goes Kinshasa, Obierika in Biyi Bandele’s adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart, Alaka in Ola Rotimi’s The Gods Not To Blame, Mbogeni in Athol Fugard’s Woza Albert, Baroka in Wole Soyinka’s The Lion And The Jewel, (UK tour 2005; Produced by Young Vic/British International Theatre Extravaganza BITE); Narrator in Ojo Bakare’s The Voyage (UK and France launch of the Nigerian Ministry of Information’s Heart of Africa Project -written & directed by Ojo Bakare: 2006/2007); Daps in Home Sweet Home, Funso Fowolu in Femi Osofisan’s Yeepa! Solarin N’Bo
