Former Super Eagles defender, Celestine Babayaro believes that Wigan Athletic winger, Victor Moses is the main talent for Nigerian fans to look out for in the national team.
The Super Eagles have a lot of exciting youngsters like CSKA Moscow’s Ahmed Musa, but Babayaro told A Different League that he believes the main focus will be Moses.
The 21 year old has attracted attention from a whole host of Premier League sides such as Liverpool following his impressive season at the DW Stadium.
Moses’ agent has confirmed the Nigerian winger will leave the club in the summer and Babayaro believes he has the qualities to achieve on a domestic and international stage.
Babayaro said: “I would say Victor Moses (is the player to look for). He’s an outstanding player, he’s very quick with and without the ball. He’ll do well”.
The 33 year old has retired from football after an ill-fated spell with LA Galaxy and is looking to get back into football, possibly back in his native Nigeria.
Babayaro has yet to receive a call about coaching in Nigeria, but insisted that if the call came, he would never turn down the chance.
“I would be glad to be part of Nigerian football. I’m available, I haven’t been asked yet, but if I am, why not? I love Nigeria, it’s my country, so if I am asked, why not?”, the former Super Eagles international stated.
