CHRISTMAS AT BRENT CROSS: SOMETHING TO SING ABOUT
Brent Cross is on song to get Christmas off to a great start when musical stars help switch on the Christmas lights on November 10th.
Shoppers can expect a traditionally festive show, complete with a winter wonderland setting, when European-acclaimed singing group Voxcetera perform traditional carols and festive family-favourites as the Centre lights up for the season.
Voxcetera perform in many prestigious London venues and further afield. As well as touring Europe, the group has recorded for the BBC and Silva Screen records and its members have performed with major orchestras such as the London Symphony, Royal Philharmonic, London Philharmonic and BBC Symphony Orchestras. At Brent Cross on the 10th they will perform three 30 minute concerts at 3.30, 4.30 and 5.30. The final concert culminates in the Christmas lights switch-on at 6.00pm with the Mayor of Barnet and The Snowman
And to add to the Christmas spirit the Centre’s free grotto will be opening at 6pm the same day with a complementary gift for every child as a thank you to shoppers and their families. The Snowman will also be on hand to meet excited youngsters between 4.30pm and 6.30pm. Free car parking as usual means shoppers can spend a little more on someone special.
Shoppers can enjoy longer opening hours for the festive season from December 1st, to help them take their time in finding the perfect gift.
