A TEN-year-old boy with a keen eye for both style and business, is taking the baking world by storm with his cookie company.
Cory Nieves, from New Jersey, America, who uses the business name Mr Cory, not only wears tailored suits and silk ties, but he is also the CEO of his very own cookie company called Mr Cory’s Cookies.
STYLISH: The cookie entrepreneur set up his business when he was five-years-old
In 2009, when the then-five-year-old’s mum needed a car, the Nieves decided to raise money by selling hot cocoa from a food stand outside their home. Business started booming.
After incorporating the company legally, the young CEO expanded his product line and began selling cookies.
Today Mr. Cory’s Cookies sells nine different varieties, including chocolate chip with walnuts, lemon, white macadamia nut and sugar-free oatmeal raisin, at local events, farmers markets and area bakeries.
“My favorite is the chocolate chip,” the fifth grader told news reporters. “I come up with all the recipes.”
On his Instagram page, which has 24,000 followers, Cory exhibits his impeccable style, striking poses in on-trend blazers and thick-framed glasses while showing off his sweet treats.
The young businessman is fully aware of how his look helps him sell cookies. “Presentation is the key to success,” he told the Huffington Post.
He added: “People first look at my style and ask, ‘Who dresses you? Your mum?’ And my mum says, ‘Do you see what I have on? I need my son to dress me’.”
