Nigerian Air Force pledges committment to education

The Nigeria Air force has expressed its determination to contribute meaningfully to improving the educational standard in the country by providing all necessary assistance to the Air Force Military School in Jos.

The Chief of Standard and Evaluation of Nigeria Air Force headquarters, Air-Vice Marshall Chimechefulam Onyemaobi, made this known at the 28th passing out parade of Air Force Military School.

The event had 116 students graduating as Junior Air Men amidst fanfare and pageantry which was complemented with astute military display.

Speaking at the event, Air-Vice Marshall Onyemaobi, stressed the importance of the school curriculum that encompass both military and academic training in order to turn out disciplined and prepared young for the academic and future challenges.

Reviewing officer of the school, the Chief of Air Staff represented by Onyemaobi, commended the graduating students for enduring and sustaining the tempo throughout the stay in the school, which has put them in a good stead for future endeavours.

Parents, guardians and top military personnel were treated to military display by the outgoing students to the delight of the audience as prizes were given to outstanding students in various subjects including academics and military training such as marksmanship, drill and regimental duties.

Chimaobi Chukwunta emerged the best all-round graduating student in the academic and military subjects while Nasirillah Abdullraham emerged best in drill and regimental subjects.

The students expressed their views on the training and what the future holds for them.
