THE HERO Caribbean Premier League (CPL) have announced an all-star charity T20 game, choc full of legends from the game that will take place at Warner Park, St Kitts on Thursday, July 2.

Current stars and a number of cricketing legends will come together to mark an exhilarating two weeks for what is dubbed the ‘Biggest Party in Sport’, in which St Kitts will host ten Hero CPL matches, the first CPL matches to be held on the island.

The teams, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis XI and the Sir Vivian Richards XI, will include current Hero CPL commentators Danny Morrison, Damien Martyn, Darren Gough, Murali Kartik, Ian Bishop and Daren Ganga, with more names set to be announced in the coming days.

Damien O’Donohoe, CEO of the Hero Caribbean Premier League expects a “fun and colourful evening of entertaining cricket, whilst raising money for a worthy cause.”

All proceeds from the game will go to a local charity, the St Kitts-Nevis National Education Foundation (SKNNEF), a non-profit organisation that seeks to provide disadvantaged students with the opportunity to receive an excellent education.

St Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris was delighted to see the Hero CPL all-star charity T20 match take place in St Kitts and Nevis.

Sir Vivian Richards is hoping that plenty of fans will attend the match and make it an atmosphere to remember. “St Kitts and Nevis is home to some of the most passionate cricket fans in the Caribbean, so I hope the fans will be out to support us,” he said.

The all-star game takes place on Thursday, July 2nd at 6:00pm. Tickets are expected to sell quickly and fans are encouraged to visit the Warner Park box office
